The difference

Does anyone know the difference between regular vinegar and distilled vinegar?

According to what I just looked up... "Distilled vinegar is the vinegar of choice for treating, athletes foot, mosquito bite itch, head lice, jelly fish stings"

I also learned that one shouldn't cook with distilled vinegar because it is too harsh. So don't make salad dressing out of the same stuff you jelly fish stings with.

Well now, that is interesting because the reason I want to find some distilled vinegar is because I read that it's a home remedy for toe nail fungus. (sick and gross Iknow) I have this one toenail that might be infected....(I feel driven to say in it's defense that it doesn't look that bad)
But I wonder if I used regular vinegar if it would work the same?
Probably not if distilled is more harsh.
I wonder how I say distilled vinegar in the language here??
Shnikeys.

Thanks for the encouragement!! Actually, my toe doesn't look like it has something that would be called fungus on it!! It just looks like I stubbed it really hard or something. Ok maybe that is gross. I can't tell if I'm being gross or not, is that a bad sign?
